The Pathway20 initiative uses an ecosystem approach to increase female representation at the board level; and accelerate purposeful and successful board careers for newly appointed board women. Through year-long development programmes, the initiative provides a pathway for talented women to gain board-level experience. Our approach creates tangible change by increasing the pool of experienced and competent female board directors, and educating women on building a board career.
Our programmes have been developed in consultation with our Knowledge Partners. The Steering Committee, chaired by Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, and consisting of board members from leading UAE companies, reviews and advises on all areas of the programme.
Over 12 months, we use a holistic approach to develop competent and capable women into board ready directors, through tailored training programmes, complemented by real board experience, profile building, networking, coaching and mentorship.
We have developed some guidelines for potential applicants to assess their suitability for the Pathway20 development programme. These are not a pre-requisite for participation, and we would be happy to discuss candidate suitability on a case-by-case basis.
We are now accepting applications for the next Pathway20 cohort, that starts in March 2021. The deadline for receiving applications is 31 January 2021.
